The Los Angeles Rams have an obvious decision to make with the offseason rapidly approaching. Los Angeles faces a difficult few months, yet it's not hard to make a couple of key choices when you're pressed in the biggest of moments.

It's become obvious that Super Bowl MVP WR Cooper Kupp won't be on the team moving forward, though the organization still owes it to the fans to ensure that any trade compensation maximizes Kupp's value while simultaneously ensuring he's not traded away for pennies on the dollar.

With that in mind, a new potential trade popped up that could satisfy all parties involved.

Rams Acquire WR Tyler Lockett in Automatic Projected Trade

In this particular projected trade, the Rams send a seventh-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for WR Tyer Lockett. It doesn't sound attractive to most fans, though Lockett represents the exact kind of Cooper Kupp replacement who would quickly become popular among fans.

Still just 32 years old, Lockett is one of the most dependable slot receivers in the league. He has four seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, all of which came with less dependable coaching staffs than what the Rams could provide.

For a seventh-round pick, Lockett represents the exact kind of player that head coach Sean McVay could turn into a star. Whether or not Matthew Stafford remains the quarterback is irrelevant. We know that McVay is still in charge, which means that Lockett has potential value for the organization. Finding versatile wideouts who can move around the formation while still striking fear into opponents is rare. McVay could use Lockett in a multitude of ways, giving him value for Los Angeles.

Slot receivers are hard to find. Lockett is a diamond in the rough and the Rams would be wise to acquire him.
