Rams Get Zero Clarity on Injured Dolphins Star With Update Ahead of MNF
By Cem Yolbulan
After winning three straight games, the Los Angeles Rams are officially out of the mud and have a good chance of catching the Arizona Cardinals in the second half of the season to win the NFC West. With their next two coming up against the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, they should feel good about their chances to keep the winning streak alive.
The Rams are already 2.5-point favorites over the Dolphins in the Monday Night Football showdown. Miami has lost three straight and is 2-6 for the season. To make matters worse, they may be without their best offensive player when they face the Rams.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday morning that Hill is a true game-time decision for the matchup.
NFL News: Tyreek Hill True Game-Time Decision for Week 10
Hill has been dealing with a wrist injury since the preseason but re-aggravated it against the Bills in Week 9. He ended up missing some practice time this week and his status is still uncertain.
Even when healthy and available, Hill has been far from the dominant receiver he has been throughout his career. In eight games this season, he only has one 100+ yard game and has a total of 446 receiving yards with only one touchdown. The inconsistency of the Dolphins offense after Tua Tagovailoa's injury has clearly hurt Hill's productivity.
The Rams currently have a bottom-ten defense in the league and have struggled to contain the passing game. They allow 5.8 yards per play, the 29th-worst mark in the league, and an NFL-worst 7.2 net yards per passing attempt.
If Hill suits up, it's obvious that the Rams will have their hands full against him. His absence would be a massive boost for Sean McVay & Co.
