The Los Angeles Rams are entering a crucial offseason. After losing a nail-biter to the eventual Super Bowl winners in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Rams are hoping to finally get over the hump next season and return to the Super Bowl.

They have big offseason questions that they need to answer, however. Matthew Stafford's future in Los Angeles remains murky, and Cooper Kupp will almost certainly get traded this offseason. The Rams are projected to have $38 million in cap space, but that will evaporate relatively quickly once roster cuts, contract restructures, and extensions kick in.

The front office already began their offseason work. The first order of business was to sign players that they wanted to keep around to reserve/future deals. With the conclusion of their season, the Rams signed the following players to reserve/future contracts.

  • OL AJ Arcuri
  • WR Quintez Cephus
  • ILB Tony Fields II
  • CB A.J. Green
  • DT Jack Heflin
  • S Tanner Ingle
  • CB Shaun Jolly
  • CB Cam Lampkin
  • ILB Elias Neal
  • DT David Olajiga
  • WR Drake Stoops
  • OLB Keir Thomas
  • CB Charles Woods

All 13 of these players spent time on the practice squad last season. Woods started the season on the active roster before getting waived and re-signed during the season. He played 12 games for the team, mostly on special teams.

Keir Thomas, who has been with the Rams since 2022, was elevated to the active roster for Week 18 and the playoffs. He saw 11 defensive snaps in the wild-card round and 12 in the divisional round. He may have the best chance to crack the 53-man roster next season.

While these are not guaranteed deals, it means that these players are not allowed to negotiate or sign with other teams this offseason. The Rams will be bringing them to training camp as they will compete for a roster spot next season.
