The Los Angeles Rams have been very successful under Sean McVay and Les Snead. They've made the playoffs six times in the last eight years. This past season, the Rams went 10-7 and won the NFC West.

When their season ended in the Divisional Round, the attention changed over to the offseason. Mock drafts have been rolling out with draft season rapidly approaching.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah released his first mock draft on Saturday. In that piece, he has the Rams taking OT Josh Conerly Jr. with the 26th overall pick.

Rams News: Josh Conerly Jr. Gets Selected by Rams in Mock Draft

The Rams had 10 picks during the 2024 NFL Draft. The class was led by Jared Verse and Braden Fiske. In this mock draft, Los Angeles goes back to the trenches.

Conerly Jr. owns good athleticism and quickness coming out of his stance. He moves with ease and has great recovery skills. The Washington native was a five-star HS recruit from the 2022 class before heading to Oregon.

Over 39 collegiate games (28 starts), Conerly Jr. notched 1,928 total snaps. Across those reps, he's given up 20 hurries, four QB hits, and two sacks.

Back in 2021, Conerly Jr. won the Anthony Munoz Award, which is given to the best lineman in high school football.

He continued his stellar play in college and is widely considered one of the best tackles in this class. Adding more talent to the trenches is never a bad idea and the Rams could go down that route.

Right tackle Rob Havenstein is heading into the final year of his deal in 2025. The 32-year-old was still solid last year, logging a 74.1 overall grade (27th among 141 eligible tackles) and a 78.3 run-blocking grade (15th among 141 eligible tackles). He did miss six games with shoulder and ankle injuries.

Granted, Conerly Jr. is a left tackle, but adding an athletic player at the position would be a smart decision.
