The Los Angeles Rams just won their second straight game, improving to 3-4 for the season and giving themselves a chance in the NFC West. With the November 5th trade deadline right around the corner, the Rams could make moves to improve and go on a run in the second half of the season.

This will likely include moves both as sellers and buyers at the deadline. One name that is reportedly on the market is veteran cornerback Tre'Davious White. In fact, head coach Sean McVay confirmed that the two-time Pro Bowler has been given permission to seek a trade.

One potential trade partner is the Kansas City Chiefs. The back-to-back Super Bowl champions just lost their starting cornerback Jaylen Watson to injury. His replacement, Nazeeh Johnson, left the Week 8 game with a concussion. This creates an immediate, short-term need on the Chiefs' secondary. That's where a trade for White comes in.

A sixth-round pick seems like fair value for a player of White's caliber. The 29-year-old defender signed a one-year, $10 million deal in the offseason. After starting the first four games of the season and playing almost every defensive snap, he was demoted and hasn't played at all since then. The fact that the Rams went on a run after that signaled to the team that he may be superfluous.

McVay added in his remarks that he would be happy to keep White around if they can't find a trade for him. A competent veteran with significant postseason experience who can still contribute is hard to come by, so perhaps the Rams can push for a mid-round pick instead, especially considering the Chiefs' need.
