After falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round, the Los Angeles Rams are losing one of their key members on Sean McVay’s staff.

According to Karen Guregian of MassLive.com, Los Angeles game management assistant John Streicher will join Mike Vrabel’s staff in New England and the move will become official later in the week.

Over the weekend, ESPN’s Mike Reiss hinted that Streicher could leave LA to join Vrabel in New England.

"And just as Bill Belichick had football research director Ernie Adams to assist him with game management, Vrabel had John Streicher in that role with the Titans. Now, Streicher is expected to follow Vrabel to New England. Streicher, who like Vrabel is an Ohio State alum, spent the 2024 season with the Rams."

Streicher joined McVay’s coaching staff this season as a game management coordinator. Before joining the Rams’ staff, Streicher spent six years with the Tennessee Titans under the direction of Vrabel.

With Vrabel in Tennessee, Streicher held various roles inside the organization, such as director of football administration, football development coordinator, and assistant to the head coach.

When the Rams hired Streicher last year, McVay stressed the importance of this role and its impact on the team.

"This game management coordinator, there’s a select group of people who have really earned a great reputation around the league, McVay said (h/t Hannah Hoover of Los Angeles Rams on SI). There’s an innate understanding of the rules and how to be able to use those to your advantage, clock management, some of the situational things that do end up coming up... I think he’s gonna be really valuable."

That being said, the Rams will now need to find a new game management assistant as they look to be good in clock management and situational football in 2025.
