Rivals Showing Major Jealousy of Chargers' Home Run Offseason Decision
By Cem Yolbulan
The 2024 NFL offseason saw significant changes on the coaching front. Legends like Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll left their teams after decades of consistent success. Eight teams in total brought in new head coaches, including the Los Angeles Chargers.
The coaching change in Los Angeles has done wonders for the franchise. The Chargers already won more games than they did all of last season under new head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Not every team is as happy with their decision as the Bolts. In fact, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, a general manager from the NFC has texted him to express the amount of regret teams have for not hiring Harbaugh.
NFL Rumors: Teams Regret Not Hiring Jim Harbaugh
It is not hard to guess which some of these teams may be. The Atlanta Falcons interviewed Harbaugh in the spring before hiring Raheem Morris. They still lead the NFC South but are 6-5 and haven't looked very convincing.
Bears fans wanted Harbaugh to replace Matt Eberflus but the front office there decided to stick with their head coach. Now, they are 4-6 and at the bottom of their division.
The Titans, Panthers, and the Raiders hired new head coaches in the offseason. It's hard to imagine them being thrilled about their choices as they continue to be among the worst teams in the league.
Whether Harbaugh would be interested in a young, rebuilding team is unclear. What is clear, however, is that he was the right choice for the Chargers, who are headed straight to the postseason.
