The Los Angeles Rams are in the midst of a dramatic offseason. Despite being one play away from defeating the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams are facing a ton of uncertainty about their future.
First, it was revealed that they were actively shopping Cooper Kupp. Then, the drama surrounding Matthew Stafford surfaced. Giants Emerge as Potential Matthew Stafford Landing Spot
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday that the Giants were hiring Chad Hall as their assistant quarterbacks coach. Hall, who was previously with the Jaguars and the Bills as their WR coach, is Stafford's brother-in-law. Hall joining the QB staff has certainly raised some eyebrows.
After finishing the season 3-14 and starting three different quarterbacks, the Giants are looking for their franchise QB. They have the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, so whether they will be able to land one of Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders remains to be seen.
Even though the NFL Draft is after free agency, the Giants will have a good idea of whether they will be able to draft one of the star QB prospects. Considering how hungry for relevance and success they are, the Giants may prefer to go with a proven, short-term QB like Stafford. In that scenario, the Rams will have to find a long-term solution to replace Stafford.
