The Los Angeles Rams have some decisions to make regarding their roster this offseason. After going 10-7 and winning the NFC West, they were sent home in the Divisional Round by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cooper Kupp publicly stated that he team is looking to move on from him and find some trade partners. While that is a storyline to follow, the biggest question mark is around Matthew Stafford's status for 2025.

He is seeking a new deal to return to Los Angeles, and Albert Breer recently added that will determine if he's under center in 2025.

Breer wrote, "As for whether or not Stafford will be available? I know some folks close to him think that he ultimately wants to remain in Los Angeles and play for Sean McVay. We’ll see if the Rams can work out the contract part of this, which will determine what’s next."

Matthew Stafford’s Future in Los Angeles Will Be Determined by Contract Offer

Stafford is on the books to make $23 million in 2025, which is underpaid for a player of his caliber. He's been with the Rams for the four seasons, logging a 34-23 record. During his time there, the Georgia product has been a stellar signal caller.

This past season, he was 13th in the league in passing yards (3,762) and 12th in QBR (64.7) while tossing 20 passing touchdowns.

Stafford has provided this team with a reliable signal-caller, leading the Rams to the playoffs three times (5-2 record).

The ten highest-paid quarterbacks in the league make at least $46 million a year. Stafford is looking to get in the same ballpark, as that $23 million price tag is low. The Rams don't have a better option on the team, so getting Stafford locked down should be the No. 1 priority for Los Angeles.

He still has good football left despite being 37 years old.
