Lonzo Ball is a hot topic amongst many Lakers rumors.

These Lakers rumors include will Lonzo Ball actually end up playing with the Los Angeles Lakers? Los Angeles has a top three pick and the other two teams with the top 2 picks in the Sixers and Celtics already have point guards.

Since they already have point guards Ball should still be on the board for LA to draft.

Therefore the question that comes to mind is will they draft him as he is a point guard or will they take someone else who they think can benefit the team and from the team?

My answer to you all is you will have to wait until the draft. If the Lakers are all in on Lonzo Ball then they will draft him.

If they aren’t we could see someone else on the Lakers. Nonetheless the Lakers need to draft a playmaker.

Lonzo Ball led the UCLA Bruins to the NCAA March Madness tournament, before they were eliminated in the Sweet 16. Many critics said they had the makings of a championship team. However they fell short.

Immediately after the loss, Ball declared for the NBA Draft. Ball is a game changer according to many critics and fans.

There is no doubting his raw talent and skill. Critics have said he makes his team better. This is true as he did help his team out.

Also, let us not forget he did have multiple teammates who could have made him better as well.  These teammates include T.J. Leaf, Thomas Welsh, and Aaron Holiday.

However, not only that, but he did play in the Pac 12, which is not known as the strongest basketball conference. There could be an argument now, whether or not the Pac 12 conference has improved as a conference in basketball.

There have been Lakers rumors that LA may not be all in on Lonzo Ball and will take the best player in the draft. This doesn’t mean he can’t be drafted by the Lakers.

Additionally, Lonzo Ball stated he would love to play for the Lakers.

LA is in need of a point guard and has been experimenting with D’Aneglo Russell at shooting guard. Drafting Lonzo Ball then they wouldn’t have to sign an All-Star player.

They would have their young core team in tact and build together from them, from within. I have been saying the Lakers are the next superteam.

Whether they draft Lonzo Ball or not they will be in good shape for the 2018 season.

If drafted by LA, Ball will help the Lakers make an immediate impact with his ability to make plays with his passing. Additionally, moving without the ball is skillful and helps any team.

Now that is a great quality to have and that is why the Lakers should draft him.

However, could they draft another player for a position they actually need a playmaker at such as a center or shooing guard?

Yes.

Also, this doesn’t mean Ball can’t be a great player in the NBA. His stats prove he is a good player who can be great. If drafted to the proper organization, he will be great with that team.

Also, when one works hard it shows in their performance.

This past season as a Bruin he could have averaged a triple double. I say this because his season averages were 14.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game.

Now the next question is can he continue these averages in the NBA?

The answer to that is yes. He has proven in college he can pass the ball, can score, and he can make plays moving without the ball. He will be his own player in the NBA.

Everyone is hoping he won’t be a draft bust. Nothing is for sure in this life, therefore to see how he performs we can only wait.

Additionally, we might have to wait to see him play if he gets drafted to a consistently great team.

Until the NBA draft Lakers rumors will continue to come and go like a merry go round.
