Rams News: T.J. McDonald Suspended First 8 Games of Season
Rams free agent safety T.J. McDonald has been suspended for the first 8 games of the 2017 season.
The suspension of T.J. McDonald is a result of his DUI arrest back in the month of May. When a league player doesn’t follow NFL policy, yet alone breaks the law, there are consequences they must face.
All players are human just like any other citizen, the only difference is they have a larger platform. T.J. McDonald has been suspended for half of the season as a consequence for being arrested on a DUI.
It is safe to say he may not be with the LA Rams midway through the NFL season. Los Angeles may trade him to acquire another good defensive player, or at worst release him.
T.J. McDonald has helped the Rams defense, whether as a starter or a reserve player. LA has a good defense and could improve their secondary. That is not a knock to TJ. LA is looking for constant play makers who are young and don’t get in trouble.
The off-field issues with T.J. McDonald are a concern for the Los Angeles Rams, hence they are okay with moving on from him.

However will they move on from him? Fans will know that answer either later today or at the start of the 2017 season. McDonald knows LA well, as he played his college ball for the USC Trojans.
Also, he is a baller and hustler. He works hard. If he has a chance to come back after his suspension he will make an impact wherever he goes because of his work ethic.
He is motivated to to help his team. While with the Rams it was hard for him to prove he is good especially with plenty of other All-Stars on the defensive side of the Rams.
