Lakers Rumors: Trade Packages that would Land Los Angeles a Superstar
By Jason Reed
Brandon Ingram finds himself on this list yet again in arguably the best, and my personal favorite, trade of this entire list. Brandon Ingram and teammate point guard Jordan Clarkson get sent to the Minnesota Timberwolves in return for studs Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine. This deal undoubtedly would not have been made without the pick involved, yet this deal would be extremely benefical for the Lakers.

The Lakers here are undoubtedly improving in both the small forward and guard position with this trade. This trade would easily shoot the Lakers up to at least 38 wins, and with the addition of Lonzo Ball could make the team a winning team again. Now, the Timberwolves would likely ask for consecutive first round picks from the Lakers, but in my book it is worth it.
Andrew Wiggins seems to be a superstar in the making, and Zach LaVine is an extremely solid contributor. Wiggins averages 23.5 points, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 rebound per game. Lavine averages 18.9 points, 3.0 assists, and 3.4 rebound per game. Plus, this deal would open up the ability to deal D’Angelo Russell for more talent, if the Lakers were to get Ball.

Or, the Lakers could have Ball start on the bench and have arguably the best sixth man in the league. A young starting five of Russell, LaVine, Wiggins, Randle, and Zubac is extremely deadly and would be great not only now, but in the future as well. While the Timberwolves may have a higher asking price in the real world, likely including Russell, to me it is a deal that still needs to be made.

Overall, these trades within the Lakers rumors seem to be no-brainers for the franchise. These deals allow the team to be good now, and continue to develop as they so want.
