Chargers Rumors: Trade Targets That should be On the Chargers Radar

Kenny Vaccaro
Another issue arising if the Chargers are not able to snag up Malik Hooker or Jamal Adams; they still need a safety. While the safeties on the Chargers roster are not that bad, they could certainly be improved on and Vaccaro may be the perfect improvement.

The Saints have already showed interest in the future and wanting to free up space by dealing Brandin Cooks to the Patriots.
Vaccaro certainly does not have the same value as Cooks, so the Saints would not receive that first and third round pick that they did for Cooks. Especially with Vaccaro only having one year left under contract, the Saints may only be able to get a fourth round pick and a minor talent along with it.
Still, Vaccaro would be perfect for the Chargers as he would be the perfect safety to hold them over until next season.
With only one season left under contract, the Chargers could utilize his talents until the draft next season, where they can land their safety for the future. This deal helps both sides equally, which makes it seemingly a no-brainer.
Overall, the Chargers have significant holes in their roster. If they want to fill every hole they are going to need to utilize every weapon in their arsenal, and if they avoid the trade block they are only hurting themselves.
If the Chargers ever want to give Phillip Rivers that Super Bowl ring he so deserves, they are going to need to be very proactive in the coming seasons. It may be a long road ahead for the team, but if they follow these Chargers rumors, they will at least get the ball rolling.
