1. Paul George

You had to have seen this coming, right? Paul George, who’s Indiana Pacers just got swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers, has been tied to the Los Angeles Lakers for quite some time now. Rumors are circling that George has made it quite apparent about his eventual departure to the Lakers, which has to make every Laker fan lick their chops.

Paul George is a superstar, there is no doubt about it. He belongs up in the ranks with the likes of Lebron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Kevin Durant. The Indiana Pacer averaged 23.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on an otherwise desolate Indiana Pacers team. Put George on a young squad, like the Lakers, George would excel.

More from Lakers Rumors

George would undoubtedly be the leader in the locker room that the Lakers so desperately need. At only 26 years old George arguably hasn’t even entered his prime, which will allow him to develop alongside the young core the Lakers have already established.

Sure, George does have a year left on his contract, but the Lakers would be rewarded with their patience. They could always for George, if they are certain that he will resign, but they should be patient and allow him to come when the time is right.

Imagine if the Lakers also drafted Lonzo Ball, how much this squad would turn around. A starting five consisting of Ball, Russell, Paul, Randle, and Zubac is great. With Brandon Ingram and Jordan Clarkson coming off the bench, the Lakers would have extreme depth, something they seem to lack at times.

Next: Trade Packages for Mike Trout

Only two players can make that kind of impact on the Lakers, Paul George and Gordon Hayward. With George the slightly better player and more talked about option, we may see him end up in purple and gold before any of these other guys.
