Dodgers Rumors: Possible Trade Packages for Joc Pederson
By Jason Reed
In this final deal of the slide show, we see the Dodgers exchange Joc Pederson’s services for a solid pitching option in Martin Perez and a young promising bat in Delino DeShields. While this deal may not have the most star power, it would be a deal that would give the Dodgers more depth in the rotation and keep a bat in the outfield.

DeShields has not put up the most amazing numbers in his time in the MLB, but he does show immense promise. With speed and stealing bases being his specialty, DeShields could give the Dodgers a nice lead off man when facing left-handed pitching. The right-handed batter is a career .258 hitter against left-handed pitching. It is not the best, but it is better than the team has.
As for Perez, he is quietly putting up good numbers in Arlington. At only 26 years old, Perez has a great upside that could see him dip under a 3.00 ERA. Thus far Perez has posted a 3.81 ERA, if he gets his walks down, he can easily dip under 3.00.
Add in the Rangers third best prospect, right-hander Ariel Jurado and this is a done deal for the Dodgers. Jurado brings in yet another young arm to the Dodgers and could see bullpen work as soon as this season.

Overall, I do not think Joc Pederson will be traded, but that possibility is always on the table. Despite him being my favorite player, if any of these Dodgers rumors came to fruition, I would not mind too much.
