Lakers Rumors: Kyle Lowry open to playing with Lakers
After yet another unsuccessful season there destined to be a plethora of Lakers rumors.
Recent Lakers rumors are reoccurring from the 2016 off-season. These Lakers rumors are free agents options for LA. Once the NBA off-season starts there will be many free agents to acquire.
Los Angeles is in the market for a few free agents. Some of the current Lakers on the roster may be released or traded. By releasing players, the roster will free up for free agents. Additionally, the NBA Draft is coming up in the month of June.
Los Angeles is set on what they want to do and their vision for the future. However, the fans don’t know the plan since the Lakers have done a good job on not releasing comments to the media.
As I previously said, there are many prominent names in free agency and one name that comes up in particular is Kyle Lowry. Lowry played with the Toronto Raptors in the 2017 regular season and will be a free agent soon.
Lowry will be opting-out of his contract and when he does that he will be a free agent. Also, he is a point guard which the Lakers need filled immediately. Los Angeles has kept their options open with a top three pick in the draft.
Also, Luke Walton has moved D’Angelo Russell to shooting guard which he seems to have flourished once transitioned. Then he allowed Tyler Ennis to run the floor. Tyler Ennis is a good point guard and is even awesome off the bench.
I say he is even good off the bench because if the Lakers decide to draft a small forward, then they have the opportunity to acquire Kyle Lowry who is an All-Star point guard. After mentioning all that Ennis would carry the flow off the bench.

For example, if the Lakers do sign Lowry, Ennis could still win the starting point guard position over Lowry. Nonetheless signing Lowry would make for healthy competition at the point guard position.
Acquiring Lowry, would give the Lakers more depth with ball handling allow room for them to draft a small forward who can learn behind second year man Brandon Ingram. Maybe the Lakers even draft a young power froward to trade for an All-Star.
What ever the case may be fans and critics will find out the Lakers true intentions after the 2017 NBA Draft is over.
In conclusion, Kyle Lowry is a good fit for the Lakers because he has playoff experience and has made it to the Conference Finals in the East. Is Lowry the player who helps LA reach the playoffs in 2018?
