Dallas Mavericks

Like the Hawks, the Dallas Mavericks have good pieces everywhere else, but could use some improvement at shooting guard.

Throwing Redick in the starting lineup would mean he’d be playing with Dirk Nowitzki, Nerlens Noel, Harrison Barnes, and headlined by Yogi Ferrell.

Outside of Nowitzki, he’d be playing with younger guys looking to prove themselves. Also, if the Mavs are serious about getting back to the playoffs, they’ll need veteran leadership beyond Nowitzki to get it done.

Noel and Barnes have what it takes to be something special right away, while Yogi Ferrell has already shown he belongs in Dallas.

Wesley Matthews is the current starter at the two spot, with Seth Curry providing support off the bench.

It would be a risk for Redick only in the sense that Dallas could be a year or two away from playoff contention. The way things are in Los Angeles, though, it’s hard to say that there’s much more security if he stays put.
