Bench

6. Brandon Ingram

7. Jordan Clarkson

8. Larry Nance Jr.

9. Dion Waiters

10. Ivica Zubac

11. Jordan Bell

More from Lakers Rumors

Obviously, with the addition of Paul George would signal the move to the bench for young small forward Brandon Ingram. Some fans may not want to waste a second overall pick on the bench, but there is no doubt that Ingram would thrive there. As a sixth man, Ingram would pick up a lot of minutes, being able to use his lanky size to dominate other second teams.

As for the rest of the bench, it is all rudimentary, sticking to guys the Lakers already have. That is, of course, besides the ninth and eleventh man in the rotation – Dion Waiters and Jordan Bell.

Dion Waiters is heading into the free agency market this offseason. Because of his age, his asking price will likely be significantly lower than expected. The Lakers may reach out to Waiters to add depth to the organization, and in fact, would be a great signing if we see the team smartly part ways with Luol Deng.

As for Bell, he is currently heading into the 2017 NBA Draft out of Oregon. Bell is a dominating shot-blocking big man. His physicality and seemingly unlimited stamina would fit perfectly into the NBA style of play. Bell would start on the bottom, but eventually, move his way through the Lakers ranks.

Overall, anything can happen in today’s NBA. The Boston Celtics set the precedent years ago, turning around a 24-58 squad to NBA Champions. There is no reason to think the Lakers cannot do that, and this is the perfect super team to complete the task.
