1. Josh Jackson

Chance of being drafted to LA: 65%

At this point, the Lakers selection seems to be a toss-up between Lonzo Ball and Josh Jackson. With just under a week remaining until draft day Jackson seems to hold the edge over Ball.

More fromLakers Rumors

Jackson was granted two workouts, Ball only one. Although Balldid receivea second meeting with the Lakers executives, Jackson received his second full-fledged workout on Tuesday.

Adding to the speculation that Jackson will go to the Lakers, rumors are circulating that Jackson was promised something by a team. Jackson’s Celtics workout did get canceled, leadingmany to thinkthat either the Los Angeles Lakers or Philadelphia 76ers promised the Kansas small forward to draft him.

The six-foot-eight forward had a fairly successful freshman year at Kansas. Jackson averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. With Brandon Ingram already in the fold, it is likely that the Lakers would transition Jackson to shooting guard, much like Kevin Durant did in his rookie year.

Jackson, outside of maybe Fultz, may have the highest ceiling in this draft class. Although a guy like Ball would help the Lakers the most right now, Jackson has the greater potential to turn into an individual superstar.

Next: Lakers Summer League schedule announced

Until June 22 comes the Lakers rumors and draft speculation will only continue to rise. However, considering everything that has circled around the Laker community, Jackson seems to be the most likely candidate for the second overall selection.
