Lakers Rumors: Superstars the Lakers can bring in with Paul George
By Jason Reed
Klay Thompson
This one would take some trades from the Lakers, but it is definitely doable. With George reportedly recruiting Thompson to play in Los Angeles with him, the seeds for this partnership are already planted. Thompson is set to be a free agent in the 2019 offseason, giving the Warriors even more incentive to deal Thompson away.

Let’s face it, Thompson has always been the sidekick with Golden State. Thompson has the potential to be the best shooting guard in the league and a top ten player, but he has always been over shadowed by Curry and now Kevin Durant.
If Thompson were to head to Los Angeles he now can become that superstar that he is capable of being. Sure, he is playing alongside George, but Thompson is as good, if not better, than George when he is at his best.
To get this deal done the Lakers would almost have to part ways with Brandon Ingram. Golden State would need something to salivate over, and if Ingram continues to get better, he can provide that.
Add in some future picks and the Warriors would likely bite. While this may seem like the Lakers are overpaying, Ingram would just take a bench role with George in anyways. Trading a bench player for a shot at the NBA Championship seems like a fair trade off.
Overall, we all know that the Lakers are going to need to bring in more talent around Paul George if they want to contend. If anything, the latest Lakers rumors have shown us that there are viable options.
