This one is perhaps the most unlikely, but it would hold the biggest impact of the five scenarios. With Kyrie Irving already having one foot out the door in Cleveland, we may be seeing the fallout of the Cavs big three. LeBron James reportedly will not waive his no trade clause, perhaps proving that they will stay together. However, by the time the deadline rolls around these cracks may be too big to fill.

Kevin Love would be an easy asset for the Cavaliers to sell. Love was a huge superstar when he was the number one option in Minnesota, taking the back seat in Cleveland. This makes coming to LA seem like the perfect move on both ends. Love would be allocated that freedom to dominate the opposition and the Lakers would finally be getting another superstar.

More from Lakers Rumors

Love is undoubtedly better than anyone else on this list. With the UCLA alumni only being 28 years old we may not have even seen the best Kevin Love yet. Overall, Love is the perfect target for Los Angeles; if they could somehow land him it would be huge for the direction of the franchise.

Los Angeles would need to send the Cavs Clarkson, Deng and multiple draft picks along with Randle to secure Love’s talents. Although that sounds intimidating, in the long run, it would be worth it. Draft picks don’t mean much when the team is winning, bringing in Kevin Love starts that winning.

Cleveland would likely want to send a salary dump such as Iman Shumpert to make this deal work. While Shumpert is owed $20 million over the next two years, this is a price the Lakers should pay to get Kevin Love.

It seems inevitable now that the Lakers will part ways with Julius Randle. There have been multiple targets in the latest Lakers rumors, now it is just up to Magic Johnson and company to find a deal that makes sense.
