Lakers Rumors: Three crazy NBA Trade Machine Trades that work
By Jason Reed
New front and back court
Lakers Receive: PG Damian Lillard, SG C.J. McCollum PF Anthony Davis, C Demarcus Cousins
Pelicans Receive: SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, C Brook Lopez, C Ivica Zubac
Trail Blazers Receive: PF Julius Randle, SF Luol Deng, PG Jordan Clarkson, SG Corey Brewer
In this deal we see the Los Angeles Lakers bring in an excellent back court and front court, combining two of the best duos from separate teams into one. Honestly, we thought that this team would be worse than the team prior, but with the shooting of Lillard and McCollum along with the scoring and rebounding of Cousins and Davis this team proved to be super deadly.

Although the two sets of duos struggled independently in the real NBA, together in the virtual NBA, they thrived. This Lakers team nearly broke the record for wins in a season by going 70-12, one off of tying the 2015 Golden State Warriors. This, obviously, was good enough for first in the Western Conference.
Much like the team before, the postseason was easy work for this Lakers team. They made quick work of both the eight seeded Clippers and the fourth seeded Thunder, waltzing into the Western Conference finals 8-0. There, matched up against the powerhouse Warriors, these four won four games to one.
Then was was the NBA Finals, where the team resoundingly swept the Boston Celtics, game four being an 115-87 victory. Not only did the team have the best regular season record of the three, it practically walked its way through the playoffs.

Overall, despite how light we can make the situation, the Lakers rumors and high expectations are going to persist. However, it is fun once and a while to see what the Lakers could actually do with their salary cap.
