Anthony Davis

Okay, this one is really far-fetched, but still within the realm of possibility. How amazing would it be to see the King himself LeBron James playing alongside the Brow Anthony Davis? LeBron, the most talented basketball player of his era, would be teaming up Davis, who has all the potential in the world to become the most talented basketball player of his era.

Although Davis himself shut down any possible interest he may have had for the Lakers back in February, that door does get a lot wider when LeBron James is thrown into the mix. If the New Orleans Pelicans can get the right return for Davis, there is no reason that the young phenom would turn down chasing a ring with the best of this generation.

More from Lakers Rumors

This is where it gets sticky. Los Angeles would obviously have to trade for Davis as he is under contract for the next four seasons. With the star that Davis is it is apparent that the Lakers would have to give up some big name young talent. However, that big name talent may be untouchable.

That big name is, obviously, Brandon Ingram. Ingram is widely admired by fans and the front office alike, being the second to last Lakers to get traded outside of Lonzo Ball.

If Los Angeles was serious about surrounding James with superstars, Ingram would have to go. A deal that would give New Orleans some nice pieces would include Ingram, Julius Randle, Luol Deng (contract purposes) and a future first round pick.

In return, the Lakers get the best 1-2 punch in basketball, even over Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. At the end of the day, that is who they are gunning for, anyways.
