Chargers Rumors: Possible trade returns for Dontrelle Inman
By Jason Reed
The Washington Redskins are another team that is desperately in need of some receivers. Top receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon packed their bags and headed to Tampa Bay and San Francisco, respectively. Washington did bring in Terrelle Pryor Sr. into the fold, but still, the receiving corps in Washington is fairly weak.

Inman would come in and be either the second or third receiver on the depth chart, giving quarterback Kirk Cousins yet another option to throw to. While they may have a very tough time in the NFC East, the Redskins still want to contend and need to add any pieces they can get.
In the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Redskins selected Alabama linebacker Ryan Anderson. Although as of now he is slated to be the backup to left outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, the team could move to the rookie to right linebacker. If they do, this makes Preston Smith much more available to trade.
Quite frankly, this is the best deal of the three. Smith would be an interchangeable piece in the Chargers defense. Whether they want to line him up at defensive end, strong side linebacker or weakside linebacker, Smith will make an impact and can play all those positions with ease.
In limited time last season Smith recorded four and one-half sacks and one interception. With the Chargers already owning an intimidating pass rush, Smith is just another piece to an already strong puzzle.

Overall, even as a Chargers fan, I hope these Chargers rumors come to fruition. As good as Inman has been to the team, they could get an overpriced return for him.
