4. Avoid the infamous Chargers meltdown

Again, fans of the Los Angeles Chargers know exactly what I am talking about. Heck, fans of the entire league likely know about the Chargers meltdowns as they have lost to many teams because of it. You can argue that, despite only having nine combined wins the last two seasons, the Chargers have had the talent to make the postseason.

However, what they haven’t had is finishing ability. This team crumbles late, it started two seasons ago and hopefully, it ends in 2017. Of the Chargers 11 losses last year, they arguably should have won eight of them. That puts them at 13-3. Heck, even if they only won half of those they go from a five win team to a nine win team.

More from Los Angeles Chargers

There was the week one meltdown, the Hunter Henry fumble against the Colts, the blown lead against the Saints, the muffled field goal against the Raiders, the pick party against the Dolphins, the scoreless fourth against the Buccanneers and Raider and the disaster loss to the Cleveland Browns.

This Chargers team beat the Broncos last season, although they did not beat them in Denver. While last year’s game in Denver was not a blown lead, they were one possession from winning. Los Angeles certainly has the blueprint to beat this team and they will do so if everything above happens.

However, even if Gordon goes off for 120 yards, the defense completely stops the run game and pressures Siemian and nobody gets hurt, it can all go out the window with the infamous fourth quarter collapse.

This may not be the most analytical take on the Chargers, it may be the most simple. Regardless, if the Chargers want to win, well, they shouldn’t finish like the Chargers.
