Clippers-Celtics trade

  • Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Lou Williams

  • Los Angeles Clippers Receive: Al Horford, Jaylen Brown

  • Boston Receives: DeAndre Jordan, Luol Deng

The Boston Celtics need somebody that can rebound and quite frankly Al Horford is not the man for the job. Although Horford can stretch the floor with the best of them and a former all-star in his own right, he is not the greatest rebounder; evident from his 6.8 rebounds per game last season.

However, one man who is fantastic on the glass is DeAndre Jordan. Jordan, who owns the record for the highest field goal percentage in one season in NBA history, would be the perfect anchor in the Celtics system. If this deal were to go through, it may just make the Celtics the hands-down favorites in the Western Conference.

More from Lakers Rumors

However, the Clippers would and should ask for some sort of young talent for making the Celtics that much closer to an NBA Championship. That young piece is Jaylen Brown. Brown may not have been great last season, but he did show the potential to be a starting caliber player at the NBA level.

As for the Lakers involvement in this deal, they are bystanders more than anything. While they are making some impact in shipping of Luol Deng to the Celtics, they are not doing too much. Los Angeles here is receiving their former sixth man Lou Williams on an expiring deal to fill the thin shooting guard position reserve.

To see Williams in purple and gold again would be fantastic. Not only that, the Lakers are practically giving up Deng and making their team significantly better in one deal; all without giving up anything else. While this deal may be the most unrealistic of the three, it certainly is the best on the Lakers end.

Overall, the Lakers rumors will continue to grow even if the team brings in a superstar caliber player. However, if and when the Lakers make a trade, there may just be a third team involved.
