Lakers: Four young stars that should come to LA at some point in their careers
By Jason Reed
SG Devin Booker (Age 20)
Devin Booker is an interesting change from the three guys before him on this list. All three guys before Booker are already established as premier talents in the NBA. Booker, although he has a lot of promise, is not yet in that upper echelon of NBA talent. On the same lists mentioned earlier, Booker ranks 67th and 65th, respectively.
However, Booker is the youngest guy on the list. Booker will turn 21 on October 30 in his third NBA season. In the first two, fans of the Phoenix Suns and overall fans of the NBA were treated to quite the spectacle.

Booker has undoubtedly become the face of the Suns’ organization, now, they just have to find pieces to build around him. Booker rebounded from a decent rookie season to have a great sophomore year in which he averaged 22.1 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. He may not be a double-double guy, but he can be one of the best scorers in the league.
To compare, Stephen Curry averaged 18.6 points his sophomore season. It was not until Curry’s fourth season, at age 24, in which he averaged 22 or more points per game.
While comparing Booker to Curry is crazy, Booker has definitely shown that Mamba Mentality that is needed to be a shooting guard for the Lakers. Last season, Booker infamously dropped 70 points against the Boston Celtics. Michael Jordan’s single-game best was 69.

Like Towns, Booker will not be available for some time. However, when Booker is available in his mid-20s, the Lakers should not hesitate to go out and get Booker.
