Los Angeles Dodgers: 20 bold predictions for the 2018 Dodgers
By Jason Reed
Predictions 19 and 20:
Prediction 19: The Los Angeles Dodgers will win their sixth straight NLDS
The Los Angeles Dodgers currently have the longest active MLB postseason streak and are knocking at the door at some of the longest of all-time. The team’s five-year NLDS streak is unprecedented by today’s standards and that will only improve to a six-year streak in 2018.

As good as the Rockies and Diamondbacks are, they do not have the same kind of depth that the Dodgers exhibit. Arizona lost J.D. Martinez, who was huge in the team’s hot streak after the All-Star Break. Plus, the pitching can be very hit or miss and the overall talent of the team has dipped since last year.
The Rockies are the scarier team to win the division, however, I still do not see that happening. The pitching has always held the Rockies back and I do not see that changing this year.
Although they did bring in Wade Davis, which may or may not be a good move depending on who you ask. At the end of the day, the Dodgers are set up beautifully for another division title.
Prediction 20: The Los Angeles Dodgers will return to the World Series
Will they win it? Well, I really have no idea. The American League is scary good. The Yankees, Astros, Red Sox and Indians are all very scary teams that could beat anyone in the league in a seven-game series.
The Dodgers still definitely have a chance and are the favorites to win it all in 2018. While I am ot so confident on the World Series win, I am confident that the Dodgers will return to the Fall Classic. They are still the deepest team in the National League by far and can still beat both the Cubs and Nationals in a seven-game series.

If the Dodgers do manage to win it all in 2018 it is only going to be that much sweeter after the 2017 defeat.
