After an off-day travel day to Miami, the Los Angeles Dodgers look to rebound after getting swept by the Cincinnati Reds.

The Los Angeles Dodgers gave every mother the perfect gift for Mother’s day: getting swept by the worst team in the National League, at home, to fall to eight games under .500.

The fourth game was much like the rest of the games. Pitching-wise, the Dodgers were not great, letting up runs in key moments that ultimately lost them the game. Offensively, the team could not get anything going and failed to score more than three runs in any of the contests.

Getting outhit by the Cincinnati Reds not only will lose some games but it will hurt our Dodgers Beat the Streak as well. At this point, though, who even knows if we can ever even build any formidable streaks to beat anything.

Sunday’s picks:

More from LA Sports Hub

On Sunday my pick actually came through with an infield single. I selected Matt Kemp. My mom loves Matt Kemp and since we were going to the game for Mother’s Day I figured it was only fitting that her favorite player would get a hit. The hit was not necessarily pretty, but it was a hit nonetheless.

Sarah’s pick also came through with a hit in Cody Bellinger, who beat the throw out at second base to give Matt Kemp his single. Thus, our two picks essentially helped each other to grow both of our streaks.

And I am over here complaining about our streaks being stuck in neutral. I can still complain about the offense, though.

Sarah’s pick (Current streak: Two): Austin Barnes

My pick for tonight’s game against Miami is Austin Barnes. Barnes is a player that has the potential to get really hot. He’s been on the cusp of some great plays so far this season but hasn’t gotten too many chances due to the success of Yasmani Grandal.

With the Dodgers depleted lineup, it’s time for guys to really start stepping up. I think the obvious choice for tonight is Justin Turner, but I didn’t pick him because there’s still no definitive answer that he’ll be playing.

Barnes is one of the many players that just really hasn’t hit his stride. I think that, given the chance, he could return to his postseason form and, hopefully, help the Dodgers leave their offensive struggles in the past where they belong.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: One): Justin Turner

Forget what Sarah said about not selecting Justin Turner because we are unsure if he will even be playing. I am going all-in on the return of JT, who will have a big game in his return and hopefully get the Dodgers back on their winning ways.

I see Dave Roberts throwing Turner right in the line of fire in the middle of the order, not easing him into things. If there was a right-handed pitcher on the mound, I could see Roberts putting Turner sixth or even seventh. With a southpaw, though, Turner will be given the chance to shine.

I see Roberts batting Taylor leadoff (since it is a left-hander), Enrique Hernandez second, Turner third, Bellinger fourth and Matt Kemp fifth. Roberts is going to want to give Turner a familiar lineup to hit around in his opening contest. Hitting in front of Bellinger with Taylor leading off will provide just that.

Next: Is it time to hit the panic button?

Turner will get an opportunity to drive in some runs and I guarantee he will deliver. The Dodgers have been pretty bad in hitting with runners on base. Here comes Justin Turner to save the day.
