1. Gerald Everett, TE

Gerald Everett was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and was meant to help the Rams in the weakest offensive position: tight end. Tight end was still the weakest position last year but Everett has promising signs that entail that he will only have a better year in year two.

Entering the season, however, Everett may not be the starting tight end. That job may go to Tyler Higbee, who posted similar numbers to Everett last year. Together, the combo of Everett and Higbee combine for decent production out of one good tight end. The Rams need that production from Everett.

With more weapons in the passing game and a young receiver corps that will only get better, Everett will get his chances to shine and will see an uptick in numbers from last season.

Everett likely will not have an amazing season, however, he should emerge as a great red zone threat that can pick up a handful of touchdowns as the season goes along.

As those touchdowns rack up, so does Jared Goff‘s trust in Everett which will lead to more targets on offense. Everett may not be a Pro Bowl tight end but he certainly will be better than last season.
