3. Brandon Ingram will be an all-star

Perhaps the boldest of the bold, we think that Brandon Ingram is going to make the first step to becoming one of the best players in the league by making his first ever all-star appearance in Charlotte.

Making the all-star team is going to be no easy task, either. The NBA is at one of its most talent-filled time periods and guys like Ben Simmons and Donovan Mitchell still need to make their first all-star teams as well.

However, by making the transition to a 20-point per night guy and by having an increased emphasis on defense, to go along with the offensive output, it is going to be hard to deny Ingram an all-star spot come February.

Ingram certainly will not be a starter, he is still a long ways away from being that good and really standing toe-to-toe with the best in the league. However, just like Durant before him, Ingram is going to make his first all-star appearance in his third season. If Durant is any indication, he will continue to be an all-star.

Comparing Ingram to Durant one for one may not be fair, Durant is arguably the second or third best player in the league right now and seemed more advanced than Ingram early on.

However, while Ingram may not quite be Kevin Durant, he is going to carve his own legacy, a legacy that will start with an all-star appearance this year.

Then, moving forward, LeBron will know that he has his secondary star and just needs to add one more piece to create a true title contender. That is much better than a complete roster revamp.
