Northwest Division:

Denver Nuggets: 2-1

The Northwest Division is going to be tough top to bottom for the Los Angeles Lakers. The team will see the Denver Nuggets three times next season and should take both at home while dropping one on the road.

Minnesota Timberwolves: 2-2

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a talented enough roster to make a deep run into the playoffs, however, where eliminated in the first round by the Houston Rockets. There definitely is tension there between Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns and Tom Thibodeau. Assuming there is no meltdown, these two sides should split.

Oklahoma City Thunder: 1-2

The Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Los Angeles Lakers three times next season, hosting the Lakers in two of those three games. All three of these games are going to be very fun to watch as the two sides are fairly even talent wise from top to bottom. However, with home court, the Thunder will take the series.

Portland Trail Blazers: 3-1

Even last year, the Los Angeles Lakers gave the Trail Blazers a run for their money. With James leading the way this year, the Lakers are going to narrowly escape with three wins against Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.

Utah Jazz: 2-2

The Utah Jazz are really good and are only going to get better as Donovan Mitchell and company progress. In fact, Utah was a great fit on paper for James, but of course, was not LA. LeBron vs. Mitchell is going to be quite the spectacle and the two sides are going to split at two games apiece.

Overall record vs. Northwest Division: 10-8
