Los Angeles Rams: Possible trade packages for Odell Beckham
By Jason Reed
This trade is different from the last one as it obviously includes one fewer pick, being a first-round pick and includes a much bigger wide receiver name to New York in Brandin Cooks.
Again, this might be a trade that some fans would be against when it additionally goes down. Cooks, like Beckham, signed an extension with the Los Angeles Rams last offseason and appears to be the future of the team’s receiving corps.

This would be a swap of the team’s best receivers. The numbers might indicate that the two are even or that Beckham is just marginally better than Cooks. However, Cooks has also had the luxury of catching passes from Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Jared Goff. Beckham has had Manning.
Beckham has more raw talent than Cooks and is a more traditional number one receiver than Cooks. Beckham would put up bigger numbers than Cooks in the Rams system and could be that extra little gas the Rams need to win the Super Bowl.
Just look at how different the Rams offense looked after Cooper Kupp went out. Having an elite receiver like Beckham will avoid that kind of fall off.
The Rams would still have to send some picks in this deal but two third-round picks is not going to drastically change the team’s draft outlook the next two drafts.
Plus, it means that the Los Angeles Rams get to keep their first-round pick. This trade makes sense for LA for that reason and makes sense for the Giants if the team wants to part ways with Beckham without too much of a talent fall-off.
This would be an unorthodox trade compared to traditional NFL trades but would be a trade worth making nonetheless.
