LeBron James: Assists

While LeBron may be taking the backseat to Anthony Davis, he absolutely is still going to be heavily involved in the offense and is going to score no fewer than 23-24 points per game. That is a given for LeBron James, even at this stage in his career.

LeBron especially will be active in running the offense and distributing the basketball, which really is the best use of him at this stage of his career with another star. We all know that LeBron is one of the greatest passers of all-time but he is going to get a chance to put that on full display here in 2019.

Big men always play better with LeBron James and adding Anthony Davis to this team opens so many new doors for James. Not only is he going to be able to hit AD in transition, on the block or at the three-point line, but having AD is also going to open up the floor for the rest of the guys, giving LeBron even more of an outlet to pass.

LeBron’s career-high in assists actually came in his last season in Cleveland, where he did not have much more help and had to will the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals. His 9.1 assists per game that season was the product of him also playing point guard.

James is a triple-double threat every single night and there is a chance that we see him average a double-double in 2019. While I think he falls somewhere in between 9.2 and 10 assists per game, it would not be all that surprising to see him average double-digit assists in 2019.
