1. Jeff Teague

Jeff Teague is not someone who is going to jump off the page as a perfect fit that the Los Angeles Lakers simply cannot let slip through their grasp. In fact, Teague is not the textbook fit on a LeBron James-led team, but the chances of him getting bought out seem so high that he has to be included on this list.

More from LA Sports Hub

Teague is in the last year of his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves and is set to make $19 million this season. While Teague has made a name for himself in the league, the Timberwolves are not going to get much for his services, especially with his contract being at $19 million.

The salaries that have to be sent in return for a trade are too much for some teams unless they too have a salary dump player to send but most contending teams do not have that. As a result, there is a fairly decent chance that the Timberwolves simply buy Teague out after the deadline if they cannot find a partner for him.

As we mentioned, Teague is not a perfect fit as he is not a great defender and is not a sharpshooter by any means, but he is another playmaker to add to the second unit that could end up being an impact player in the playoffs.

He is the textbook veteran minimum player to bring in, try out the rest of the season and hope that something sticks and he becomes an impact player. If not, well, the Los Angeles Lakers are not hurt in any way.
