Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season is here and the Los Angeles Chargers are facing the Arizona Cardinals in one of two Monday Night Football matchups. The Chargers are fresh off a pivotal Week 6 victory over the rival Denver Broncos, leaving time to tell if they can keep the momentum going at State Farm Stadium.

Chargers fans have been feeling confident about the upcoming MNF showdown given that the Cardinals are 2-4 and have lost three of their last four outings. There's also the fact that Arizona's No. 1 receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been in concussion protocol and a potential absence would likely limit his team's offensive ceiling.

Having said that, the latest update on Harrison isn't something Chargers fans will want to hear.

Chargers News: Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr Clears Concussion Protocol

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced Saturday morning that Harrison has officially cleared concussion protocol, per NFL insider Adam Schefter. As a result of the update, the rookie playmaker will be in the lineup to face the Chargers on Monday.

It's no secret that the Cardinals are a better team whenever Harrison is in the lineup. The Chargers' defense has been playing well to begin the season, however, they can't afford to underestimate the 2024 first-round pick.

Harrison has lived up to the hype to begin his NFL career, hauling in 17 catches for 279 receiving yards and four touchdowns through six games. His best performance thus far came in Week 2 when he torched the LA Rams to the tune of a 4-130-2 stat line at State Farm Stadium.

It'll be even tougher for the Chargers to contain Harrison given their cornerback situation. Asante Samuel Jr. (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve last week while Kristian Fulton and Deane Leonard both missed practice time throughout the week with hamstring injuries, leading to a 'Questionable' tag for Monday.

After shutting down the Broncos' WRs last week, the Chargers must find a way to replicate that success against Harrison and the Cardinals. The good news is that Los Angeles is currently the 1.5-point road favorite over Arizona ahead of the MNF clash, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
