Arizona topped No. Cal with the bat of Ethan Linn (went 2-2), and great pitching from Brock Selvidge, striking out nine of the No. Cal players.

No. Cal on the other hand had great pitching as well with Griffin Allen striking out ten of the Arizona players, but gave up the only run of the game in the fourth inning.

Ethan Linn was the only player in the game with a RBI, as he scored the first, and last run of the entire game as he brought in Christian Reynard from first to home.

The fourth inning would be the only chance No. Cal had to bring in any run as they’re bats were limited to great pitching.

The second game of the West Regional, got out of hand earlier as So. Cal opened the game with an explosive first inning, going through the whole batting order and bringing in six runs.

Levi Mendez kicked off the explosive offense with a 2-run homer, which was followed up with a solo home run from Walker Lannom, and an inside the ballpark home run from Isaac Artalejo, to take a 6-0 lead.

Hawaii responded by re-taking the lead in the bottom of the first, loading the bases early with no outs. Vincent Ogasawara then doubled to left field to bring in two runs (player left on first and second).

Trey Apana-Purcell then got hit by a pitch to load the bases back up. So. Cal leads 6-2.

Sage-Manuel Koahou then ended up hitting a single to right field for another run, and was immediately followed up with Joshua Reis getting hit by a pitch for two more runs. So. Cal leads 6-4.

Charles Winchester then doubled to center field to tie the game at six, and took the lead with a sacrifice bunt fromVance Oshiro for the second out. Hawaii leads 7-6.

Walker Lannom in the top of the second inning re-took the lead for So. Cal with a 2 out, 2-run homer (Walker’s 2nd homer of the game).

So. Cal then loaded the bases for Isaac Artalejo who doubled to right, to bring in another three runs. So. Cal leads 11-7.
