Cal vs Utah Predictions
The last two unbeaten teams in the Pac-12 will face off in Salt Lake City Utah — the ranked Cal Golden bears take on the 5th place Utah Utes this Saturday, October 10, 2015.
This game has huge implications now that they are they last unbeaten teams in the conference and in each division.
They are both in first place in their respective divisions.
“Thank You” is what they should be saying to Arizona St. who defeated the UCLA Bruins last week.
With the Bruins losing, that helped Utah to be in first place in the Pac-12 south.
Cal played Washington in their last game and escaped.
The good news for Cal is Washington beat USC last night so with that Cal’s resume will look even better thanks to Washington.

Each team has a lot to prove to the college football world.
It is that they are both legit and not flukes.
Utah proved themselves last year and just keep improving.
Cal has more to prove to everyone than Utah.
They have been proving a lot this year to everyone.
When they face Stanford, UCLA, USC, and UTAH this week everyone wants them to win those games or just even come close in the game for society to believe .
As if 5-0 is not an indicator of them being legit because they have already matched their win total from last year.
This week a win would be one more game then last year.
People will believe them if they win because Utah is ranked 5th.
Utah may lose believers yet they already have a some because they are in the top five and have defeated the teams that are usually running the show in the Pac 12.
For example, last year they defeated USC and UCLA and this year they beat Oregon.
They have truly proven themselves since.
Hence the reason Cal has more to prove but Utah has more to lose.
Utah is where Cal would like to be.
The winner of this game will have control of the Pac-12.
The Pac-12 championship game is on the line with this game.
Not only the conference title game lead is on the line, but also the possibility of even making the college football playoffs is on the line.
Yes, out of all games, Cal vs Utah in Utah is the game to watch this week.
College Gameday is at Utah, so it is perfect and the momentum is on Utah’s side but Cal has a story to tell and they are going to tell the whole world.
In one of my first article for FanSided I wrote about the Pac-12.
I predicted and picked Cal to play Utah in the Pac-12 Championship game.
Yes, I said that before the season.
Now that both teams are undefeated and ranked others still want them prove themselves.
If Cal can beat Utah that would lift the program so much because then they beat a top-5 ranked team.
Then you would see believers come out of no where.
Not everyone believes Cal is legit that is why this game is crucial fro Cal.
If they can pull out the victory then they could make a run for the playoffs.
If Utah wins they will need to be consistent and not slip up in the last half of the season.

Utah has more to lose because they drop far in the rankings while Cal can drop out of the rankings but with a win in conference play they could get back in the rankings.
This week is a perfect day to prove all the haters wrong.
If Cal can pull out the win, then they beat the fifth ranked team in the nation and can jump up in the rankings a lot.
They need help from others teams, just as Utah does.
It is happening all around which is good for Cal and Utah.
Both these schools were at one point at the bottom of the divisions now they are the top teams in the conference.
I see Utah holding their own in a very tight defensive battle.
However I do see Cal getting the last laugh and winning the Pac-12 Championship Game against Utah.
Cal’s Jared Goff has already broke Aaron Rodgers passing records in his 3rd year.
Cal’s defense is in the top 3 of the FBS in different categories.
They are first in turnovers second in interceptions and third in sacks.
Cal’s defense has improved tremendously from last year and this week will be their true conference test.
They can only keep improving.
Utah’s quarterback, Travis Wilson, is starting this week.
With him playing that gives the Utes much inspiration and hope to win because he is the leader of that offense.
Bottom Line: It comes down to the underdogs.
When he was out with his injury back up quarterback Kendal Thompson held his own and contributed to the team showing that he can get the job done as well if Wilson were to go down.
He led the Utes to the demolishing of Oregon proving he can defeat a conference rival as well.
