Chris Paul lights up the court in the Clippers victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Chris Paul had a spectacular performance at Staples Center against the rising and struggling 76ers. Surprisingly the 76ers were a lot to handle for the Clippers as they only won by 12 points.

This victory now puts them one game behind the Utah Jazz for fourth place in the Western Conference Standings. Los Angeles was slipping lately and this game seemed to place them back where they need and want to be.

It is better for them to lose games in the regular season the post-season. However they haven’t clinched a playoff berth yet.

Hence this means they need to continue to find ways to earn victories. Chris Paul was one reason they won because he scored 30 points.

Also, he was excellent from behind the arc 4-4 and 11-16 from the field playing 34 minutes. Chris Paul had a tremendous performance at home tonight.

This was a complete team victory. There are other players besides Chris Paul who additionally had great games. For example, Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan each had double-doubles.

Griffin scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Deandre Jordan scored 19 points with 20 rebounds. Additionally, everyone on the bench scored as well. LA needed everyones help to earn this hard fought victory.

Yes LA only won by twelve points, but the way they played showed what they are capable of doing. The way they played tonight is how they need to play every night and when they make the playoffs.

They were able to earn trips tot he charity stripe which helped them a lot. LA went 24-29 from the line while the 76ers went 10-14. They just about doubled the amount of free throws attempted and made by the 76ers.

If LA can do this in the playoff when they clinch a playoff berth they shall be fine. In conclusion if they were one thing for them to work out it be to make their three-pointers they attempt.
