Lakers rumors: Ingram and Zubac are the next Kobe and Shaq

Lakers rumors will not ever stop surfacing until they return to greatness.

There have been Lakers rumors galore lately. The Lakers are getting closer to their winning ways despite another losing season.

Amidst all the negativity there is positivity and greatness. Los Angeles has a core of young talented players with a high ceiling. They are developing together which is great for the team because it is building their chemistry.

There have been reports of the Lakers signing a marquee player along with the top pick in the draft. If they do one or both of those they may have to trade some players. They don’t need to trade their players.

I say this because in this losing season there have been no name players who have shown and continue to prove themselves on the court. They do this game in and game out. They make the most of their time on the court.

There have been multiple players who have given their everything such as Thomas Robinson.

I have seen two players with promise who consistently listen to their coach and want to win. These two players could be the next Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.

Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac continue to prove that they were the correct rookies drafted for the Lakers and the future. These two may be the foundation for building the future of the organization.

Ingram is more prominent hence why he has played more games this season and gained more experience on the big stage. Zubac has worked his tail off to be on the big stage.

Both men have out hustled and out worked others on the court. Both are talented for their specific position they play. For example, Zubac is an outstanding rebounder and passer, while Ingram can score effectively in multiple ways and make plays for his teammates.

They have been exciting to watch in games when they play and they look like they can be the next Kobe and Shaq duo. As everyone keeps saying the future is bright in LA.

Both of the players are young and have plenty of years ahead of them and have been setting records just by balling hard. Zubac has had four double-doubles this season. Additionally, in one of those games, he grabbed 25 rebounds.

Ingram has the ability to earn a triple-double since he averages 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

They have proven they deserve to be with the Lakers just as many other teammates have.

However, they could be the two unknown factors that build this franchise back to their glory days. Now, all there is to do for fans and critics is to wait, while the two continue to work hard.

They want to win championships and when you want that that drives you and motivates you. Additionally, when your big man can pass the ball and draw fouls that is an advantage.
