The Clippers would be getting their center for the future in this deal, and it is arguably the best deal of this entire article. Hassan Whiteside is a young, dominant force down near the rim and the Clippers would effectively maximize Jordan’s worth by sending him away for multiple years of Whiteside.

More from Clippers Rumors

Whiteside has a play style that is very similar to Jordan’s, and quite frankly, would not be that much of a difference on the court for the Clippers. Last season Whiteside averaged 17.0 points, 14.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game – showing his true dominance near the basket. These stats are better than Jordan’s, and may even be an upgrade from Jordan.

Why the Miami Heat would want to do this deal I have no idea. Perhaps they would have spender’s remorse, regretting the big contract they signed Whiteside to.

By dealing him, they could eat one year of Jordan’s contract, and then have huge cap space alongside bringing in draft picks. It is not the smartest deal for the Heat, but for the Clippers, it would be great.

Now, would we see this deal take place in the real world? Most likely not. However, if the Clippers were to throw in next year’s first, this very well could happen. Regardless if it would or not, this shows that Jordan still has great value, and if the Clippers need to trade him for Paul and Griffin, they could easily do so.

Overall, all of these Clippers rumors are leaving fans distraught as nobody seems to know the direction this franchise is taking. Now what we must do is sit back, wait, and see.
