Lakers rumors: How would Lonzo Ball perform alongside D’Angelo Russell
Once again current Lakers rumors revolve around the UCLA Bruin point guard Lonzo Ball.
These Lakers rumors have to do with him possibly playing with D’Angelo Russell. LA is looking to draft a true point guard to lead the Lakers on the court.
They will draft a point guard since they most likely won’t be able to acquire a free agent point guard. Russell has been playing the shooting guard position lately. For one, to give Walton different looks and possibly since he may be traded.
Hence, possibly Russell has been working in his natural two-guard position. Ball in recent Lakers rumors talked about playing alongside Russell.
Although the Lakers are interested in multiple athletes, Lonzo and Russell could be a spectacular pair. They would be a good pair since they are both scorers and passers first of all.

Also, Russell needs to work on offense, while Ball needs to work on defense. They could help each other improve their game tremendously.
These two playing next to each other could work out very well for the Lakers future. However, the Lakers are still uncertain on who they want to draft with the second overall pick.
I am not sure, but if they draft Lonzo they could possibly lure an All-Star small forward and draft a reserve shooting guard. For all teams, the 2017 NBA Draft may be filled with many surprises we are not aware of yet.
All teams may shock the entire NBA world, not just one team specifically.
Everyone knows what Lonzo is capable of as witnessed in the NCAA March Madness Tournament. Not everyone believes he will make a great NBA player, with Bleacher Report stating that Ball reportedly underperformed in his Lakers workout.
The truth of the matter is he is an athlete and only time will tell how he fairs in the NBA. However, this athleticism will carry him to be at least a decent performer.

There is no doubt he has the potential, but many don’t know if he can maintain his performances. If Lonzo can consistently put up the playmaking numbers he did in college, Laker fans will be extremely grateful.
