Los Angeles Rams: The five best Rams for your fantasy football team
By Jason Reed
It probably means nothing to Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon, but being in the city may spark both men to continually try to outdo each other. The similarities are so shocking. They were the first two backs taken in the 2015 NFL Draft and they both have had one promising year and one dud. Gordon broke out in year two after his rookie year and Gurley took a step back in year number two.
Again, it may not necessarily mean anything, but even ESPN is banking that Gurley is going to bounce back and have a great year. Despite having the 17th most yards in the fifth attempts and the 23rd most touchdowns, Gurley is still ranked as the fifth best running back in the league.

While that may be a little high, I agree that Gurley is not going to have yet another bad year and could rebound with a season even better than his rookie campaign. If he could, that would make his ranking worth it. Gurley is the 32nd best player in ESPN’s rankings; if you can snag him in the third, do it.
Again, having all of these new weapons will only help Gurley in the long run. As mentioned before, he had the third most rushing attempts in the league and was the only player to not hit 1000 yards with 260 or more attempts. Gurley ran the ball 278 times, allowing opposing defenses to worry about locking the running game down.
Without a real passing threat, the entire focus on stopping the Rams was stopping Todd Gurley. Now, with so many receiving options and a better line, Gurley can once more give us the magic he did his rookie year.

Overall, the Rams don’t have many great fantasy football options on their roster. While each of these five guys serves a purpose, I would avoid drafting anyone higher than they belong if it is just to show off Ram pride.
