The Rams will win eight games for the first time since 2006

The last time the Rams posted a non-losing record was 11 seasons ago when they finished at 8-8. The last time the team put together a winning record was 2003, in which they posted a 12-4 record. The late nineties and early 2000’s were great for the Rams organization, however the rest of the century has been a dud. However, finally, we will see the Rams win eight games.

This may not be enough to satisfy the needs of some Rams fans, but it will be a great step from the organization. I do not want to pop anyone’s bubble, but it will be very hard for the Rams to win more than eight games. However, it is very doable to go .500 and we may see just that. With a constant tug of war between a thriving offense and struggling defense, this makes sense.

More from Rams Rumors

The Rams could easily win both games against the 49ers, and could split the series against the Seahawks and Cardinals. That is four wins right there, add in games against the Eagles, Saints, Jaguars, and a home game against the Texans and the Rams have eight games they could easily pull away with a win.

There are toss-ups as well against the likes of the Colts, Redskins, and Vikings. Los Angeles could give the Titans a good game, however, their defense will hold them back in all of these games. The team will struggle against the Raiders, Cowboys, Packers, and Giants with their passing offenses.

The Rams should be able to beat both the Cardinals and Seahawks at home, which leads them to this 8-8 record. This may not be the exact thing fans want to hear, but it will be very hard for the Rams to win nine or more games with this defense. 8-8 seems to be the team’s ceiling, and may be just what they end up with.
